CIS nationals (except from the Russian federation and
Turkmenistan) do not require visa for stays up to 90 days.
List of the countries
whose citizens do not need a visa to enter and stay on the
territory of Georgia for 90 days for the holders of Diplomatic
or Service passports:
Republic of Bulgaria (up
to 90 days stay)
Romania (up to 90 days stay)
Islamic Republic of Iran (up to 30 days stay)
Republic of Hungary - visa (up to 30 days stay)
Turkmenistan (up to 30 days stay)
Arab Republic of Egypt (up to 30 days stay)
One can get visa either
in the Georgian consulates in their countries or upon the
arrival at the Tbilisi International Airport or at the following
checkpoints on the border with Armenia, Azerbaijan and Turkey:
Sarpi and Vale checkpoints on the border of Turkey, Matsimi and
Tsiteli Khidi (Red Bridge) on the border of Azerbaijan and Sadakhlo
on the border of Armenia.
Warning: One can not get
visa on the border with Russia,
checkpoint Larsi, between Vladikavkaz
(North Osetia) and Stephantsminda (former Kazbegi, Georgia). But
if you have visa you can enter Geiorgia (Russia) at that
checkpoint.
Currently
Abkhazia and South Ossetia are not under the control of the
central government. Thus traveling to these regions is not
advisable, because we can not guarantee security. Moving
throughout the territory of Georgia with
Abkhazian visa is also prohibited.
