Announcement

ROSTE and ISPM are pleased to announce the 2004 ISPM activities sponsored by UNESCO-ROSTE and the Georgian Academy of Sciences:
  1. Caucasian-German School and Workshop on Hadron Physics; August 30-September 04; Tbilisi, Georgia; Coordinator: Prof. M.Nioradze
  2. School and Conference: Algebraic Models of Topological Spaces and Fibrations; September 13-September 18; Tbilisi, Georgia; Coordinator: Prof. T.Kadeishvili
  3. Autumn School and Workshop: Selected Topics of Theoretical and Modern Mathematical Physics; September 20-September 25; Tbilisi, Georgia; Coordinator: Dr. G.Lavrelashvili
  4. School and Conference: Control and Power Engineering Problems; September 27-October 02; Tbilisi, Georgia; Coordinator: Prof. M.Salukvadze
The objectives of ISPM are to contribute to the capacity building in pure and applied physics and mathematics through organizing advanced scientific-training activities in selected frontier areas of physics and mathematics and designed for young researchers, graduates and post-graduate students from Central- Eastern European countries, including those belonging to South Caucasus Region. The ISPM activities are supported by UNESCO-ROSTE, ICTP (Abdus Salam International Center for Theoretical Physics), JINR (Joint Institute of Nuclear Research), CERN (European Organization for Nuclear Research) as well as by other international and national scientific institutions.
In 2004 ISPM and UNESCO-ROSTE are establishing 20 ISPM-UNESCO (ROSTE) short-term fellowships for young researchers from the above countries for their participation in the ISPM activities announced above. Each fellowship will include the financial provisions for partial coverage of travel, full coverage of logging and meals during ISPM scientific-training workshops and seminars and of local transportation.
The applications for ISPM-UNESCO (ROSTE) short-term fellowships according to Application Form should reach ISPM before June 15, 2004 to the following address:
