abstract:
The uniqueness of positive solutions of
Susceptible-Infectious-Recovered-Deceased (SIRD) epidemic model is investigated
and it is shown that there exists one and only one solution of an initial value
problem for SIRD differential system in the class of positive solutions. Our
approach is based on the uniqueness of positive solutions of an initial value
problem for some nonlinear differential equation of first order which is
satisfied by the number of recovered individuals $R(t)$.
